City Tory Helps Save Election Night

The campaign to keep the quick election count on Thursday night was won in Cambridge.

Councillor Chris Howell led the campaign locally, with helpful support from me as the then parliamentary candidate and the powerful backing of Conservative Home.

As Chris writes, "The motion to Council was proposed by myself, and was probably the first time a Conservative proposed motion has been approved at the City Council for a great many years!"
