Where to Put the Shovel?


The Labour candidate for Cambridge posed with a shovel in front of Shire Hall with an offer to help clear the snow.

Labour politicians should steer clear of shovel photo opportunities. The party has made more and nastier messes over the last few years that will require much longer clearing up.

I am not a labour voter, but Mr Zeichner's PR stunt shows up the widespread dissatisfaction with the way the (Conservative-run) County Council has handled the latest snow episode, particularly for people walking - the pavements have been absolutely dreadful - and cycles. Did you have any comments on that substantive point?
