Bring on the Blue Bins

The Cambridge News is asking for people’s views on the new blue bins.

I like them. When I was the Conservative Parliamentary candidate I made sure that we raised recycling as an issue and mentioned Huntingdonshire to show how much better a Tory council could be compared to its politically correct rival.

Conservative Huntingdonshire has had blue bins for years.

Why did our own load of councillors opt for the boxes in the first place and why has it taken them so long to realise that the bins are better?

The change is welcome, but very late.

Of course, you might not agree with this point… but tell the News why.

  1. I'll welcome these bins if/when they're introduced to South Cambridgeshire. If I'm not about, sometimes my wife can't life the green (in our case) box out by herself.
